“Look at that stupid Flame Princess with her stupid flaming hair and jewel on her forehead and her-“

“Bonnie, what are you even complaining about? Finn likes the way she looks, so why are you so angry?” Marceline tried to see why Bubblegum was so jealous of a 13 year old girl. It didn’t make any sense to her. Bonnie was much smarter and had a hotter bod. Plus, Bonnie’s cheeks are probably much more delish than Flame Princess’ anyway.

“You don’t understand! She’s…just so irritating! And…EVIL!” Bubblegum’s eyes widened as she threw her arms up at the word “evil.” Marceline tried not to laugh at the exclamation of the word ‘evil’.

“Bonnie, have you ever even talked to the girl before?” Marceline inquired, wondering where this new found hate came from.

 ”…no” Bubblegum admitted, blushing slightly. Grabbing her wrist, Marceline dragged Bubblegum towards the couple, wanting to dig up her own info about the new girl.

“Diggy diggy!” Finn said, causing the Flame Princess to giggle.

“Oh Finn, you’re so funny!” Flame Princess said, causing Finn to grin widely at his success.

Hearing footsteps, the two turned Marceline floating towards them, Bubblegum in hand. “Hello, you two.” Marceline drawled, waving slightly at the young couple. Bubblegum just harrumphed and turned her head away.

“Hey, Marcy!” Finn greeted.

 ”Peebs…” he said much less excitedly. Bubblegum frowned, disappointed at the young boys tone.

“Hello, Finn. I see you’ve made a new friend.” Facing the princess, Bubblegum bowed, her hands clasped together in front of her.

“I am Princess Bonnibelle Bubblegum, of the Candy Kingdom. And you are…”

“Amber. Princess of the Fire Kingdom.” The younger girl said curtly.

“And I’m,” Marceline popped in between the two of them, spreading her arms out wide, “Marceline the Vampire Queen! Aka, the greatest person you’ll ever meet.” Marceline smirked resting her hands on her hips. Bonnie butted Marceline out of the way to stare at Amber, annoyed. She stared back at Bubblegum with a mirrored expression, tension rising. Finn, oblivious to the mounting pressure between the two girls, touched Flame Princess’ shoulder. Instantly, she faced Finn, beaming at him.

“Hey, c’mon. Jake was gonna make us pancakes for dinner.” He explained, smiling gently at the girl in front of him.

“Ok!” Facing the two older women, she bid them adieu ”Goodbye Marceline,” turning her head with lidded eyes, she looked Bubblegum once over and said with disdain “Bonnibelle.” She and Finn then walked away together, hand in hand.

Marceline looked at the princess, who was currently fuming. “So…what was that about?” Marceline asked carefully, not wanting to draw the princess’ ire onto herself. Bubblegum was still staring ahead in the direction the young couple had gone, her eyes boring into the spot where the Flame Princess stood, hoping to blow her up with her eyes as if she was still there. Marceline slowly rested her hand on Bonnibelle’s shoulder, her worry beginning to show. “Bonnie…?” She said, and just as the hand landed on her shoulder, Bubblegum’s head snapped towards Marceline, eyes ablaze with anger.

“That…that HARLOT! She has no respect for her elders. None at all!”

“Bonnie, relax! She’s just a kid. She doesn’t know any better.” Marceline tried to calm the obviously riled up princess.

 “Don’t you see, Marceline? She obviously is using her evil, feminine wiles to tempt Finn to become evil! Marcy! I have to do the thing I never wanted to do.” Marceline looked at her, shocked. Bonnie had never sounded so off kilter. But, ultimately, curiosity got the better of her and she asked Bubblegum anyway.

“What is that, Bonnie?” Grasping Marceline’s shoulders, she pulled the vampire close into her face.

“I have to woo Finn!”
